Community work is all about showing up when it matters most. Recently, we joined the JUSTB Foundation at the UWM baseball field in Utica, MI, for their annual mental health night event. After that event we were able to assist a supporter in need find immediate mental health resources for a family member. Moments like this remind us why community outreach is so crucial it allows us to extend a lifeline, spread a message of deep care, and actively support individuals when they need it most.

“I want to write a review to recognize Diane Johnston and Thaar Care and the incredible work she has done over the last couple of months in support of mental health and suicide prevention. I called Diane about a month ago after a friend called me searching for help for his nephew who was experiencing suicidal thoughts. Diane immediately got engaged and referred us to several mental health resources. This was also in the evening after normal hours. My friend’s nephew was able to make an appointment with a therapist that Diane recommended. A second thing that Diane did was help open the door to several schools in our area about starting a mental health program called “be nice.”. This has the potential to expand the be nice program on the east side of the state and help hundreds of students and families. Thank you so much Diane and Thaar Care.”
We also have been awarded a $500 GRCF Grant!
