Bio

Grace Schilp (Intern)

I am a counseling intern at Thaar Care Foundation and am currently completing my master’s degree in counseling at Oakland University. My therapeutic style blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and humanistic counseling, and I tailor my approach to meet each client’s unique needs. I often integrate aspects of existential and feminist therapy when it fits the client’s goals and experiences.

I am passionate about working with women and have experience supporting individuals and families affected by neurological disorders such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, and Parkinson’s disease. My goal is to help clients, and their families cope with these diagnoses and foster healing throughout the process. I am open to working with anyone and have a special interest in geriatric counseling.
