Amy Strick, Intern
I am an LPC intern pursing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Forensic Counseling. I have experience with individuals who need aftercare following incarceration and court ordered services. Navigating the justice system can be overwhelming. Mental health, relationships, and jobs can all be impacted and difficult to balance.
I also have experience with children who are in foster care that may be experiencing adjustment issues and/or have experienced trauma. In addition, I have experience with the parents whose children are in foster care and are working to be reunified as well as foster parents who are seeking guidance in caring for the child. With my experience in these two fields, I have gained significant knowledge in substance abuse as well.
I utilize multiple approaches to meet the individual where they are at.
